“The song is a commentary on gender inequality in Saudi Arabia. It’s about rebelling against inequality, like the lyrics “Ah, Suki Suki!” means “Drive, drive.” in Arabic, which is illegals for females to do. Hence, “bad girls” not afraid to die and showing rebellion by driving anyways.”

The new video shows M.I.A.’s intent. It isn’t what the youtube commenter said…but it still has a kick ass message: dissolving ideas about gender, rebellion, the freedom to be yourself- despite projected exceptions, fulfilled dreams, dispelling ideas of what it means to be the “Other” (for themselves)…both videos are beautiful
